A final reminder that The Topsham Society AGM is on Thursday 10 June at 8 p.m. in the Malthouse at the Globe Hotel. The bar will be open at 7.30 p.m. Following the AGM the Enhancing Topsham Award will be presented to the Topsham Community Association for the refurbishment of Matthews Hall. There will then be a talk on “The Exe Estuary Partnership- a local update” from Jenny Lockett, the Exe Estuary Officer. If you are not a member of The Topsham Society you are still welcome to come along and join on the night. Membership for the year is only £2, or £3 for two people at the same address.

Now is the time to think about entering this year’s Topsham in Bloom contest. David Woods is again in charge of the arrangements on behalf of The Topsham Society and entry forms are available at the Topsham Library, from local shops, or from David (874901). The categories for 2010 will be:

• Residential front gardens
• Residential containers (window boxes, hanging baskets etc)
• Shops
• Non-residential (pubs, clubs etc) and
• Community Group displays

Judging will take place during the last week of July.  The winners will be announced and trophies and certificates will be presented in August.
